How to Get the DRE Licensee List

Every Monday you need to pull the Licensee list from California Department of Real Estate. 

  1. Go to www.dre.ca.gov
  2. Click Examinee List/Licensee List Data Files

  3.  Choose the link “Licensee List ZIP (Updated Weekly on Monday)”  This will open a ZIP file depending on your computer settings this can vary. 
  4. Open the excel file you will need to filter it by both date and city or zip code correlated with your office location. 
    1. Choose the Filter option from sort & filter button
    2. Filter by date by using the lic_effective_date column, column H
    3. Click the Sort & Filter button and choose Filter
    4. Click the arrow in the lic_effecetive_date column
    5. Hover over Numbers Filter > select Between > type the dates starting with the previous Monday and going through Sunday.  Type date as YearMonthDay i.e. 20190501 and click OK.
    6. Filter by City, column T by clicking the arrow in the city column
    7. In the search box type your city and click OK
  5. You have your list

Copy and paste your list to a new file or print so you can keep track of who is receiving recruiting letters from your office on a weekly basis.


Note: This file is updated every Monday with all renewals and new licensees.
