Vanity Domains

There are a few steps that need to happen for an agent's  “Vanity Domains” to work:

 

  1. In their domain provider – to be completed by agent (you might need to help)
    • Go to Domain Forwarding
    • “Forwards To” should always be https://
    • Add agent’s default URL – i.e. tomchance.bhhsdrysdale.com
    • Forward Type should be set to Permanent (301)
    • Settings is Forward Only
    • Check the box “Update my nameservers and DNS settings to support this change.”
    • Click “Save”
  2. In MyConnect – to be done by Support or AC
    • Click Admin > Agent > click on agent’s first name
    • Choose Website URL tab
    • Click New
    • Link To - Agent
    • Input their domain, i.e. TomChance.com (leave off the www.)
    • Primary - No
    • Click “Save & Close”
  3. Search for their website in any web browser to make sure it worked
